EFF and MuckRock released records and data from more than 200 law enforcement agencies across the United States. The records, obtained through FOIA requests, include over 2.5 billion license plate scans from 2016-2017. The data reveals the massive scale of license plate tracking and provides a unique historical dataset for researchers and privacy advocates. Full dataset available as ZIP archive.
